How different places familiarize you with different people; staying away from home isn’t an easy task as a student, and when it’s your first journey.
As a student when I started my journey from home to New Delhi( Delhi University) with my dad as my companion in the journey, it was my first experience to travel a long distance and the terrific roads connecting Jammu to Srinagar, covering a distance of about 300 kms from Baramulla to Jammu, in the way we had our lunch at Zaiqa Restaurant in Udhampur, when we reached Jammu, while talking to me, my father turned emotional as he was concerned about me, how I will be able to manage things at a strange place, the scenes are still in my mind when my father’s eyes were filled with tears, I know how I have balanced myself and talked with papa, that why you are weeping in Sha Allah by the grace of Almighty, I will manage each and every thing, then that evening we left from Jammu to Delhi covering a distance of about 600 kms through a slipper bus, and the next morning we were in a strange city, where no one knew us, At Vidhan Sabha a police men helped us when my dad talked with him by showing him his identity card as my father is in J&K police department, so from Vidhan Sabha we reached Shahdara, where my first alloted college is situated, I went in the college and talked with the security guards, they told me that college classes are going to conduct after 3_4 days, so look for a PG as an accomodation, we left the college and talked with a surrounding shopkeeper about the PG, he called a woman who showed us a PG which was nearby college but we thought to explore more PGs, so I searched nearby PGs and we looked a PG titled as Bhatipg which seemed to be better than previous one, a boy named Shafiq from Banaras living in that pg who was senior to me helped me in knowing about all the details related to Pg, I selected a triple sharing room In the building named G-28 where my companions had been to home and were not present there, my dad stayed that night with me and I assured to my father that everything will be ok, no need to worry, Allah will help me in Sha Allah, next morning it was time to say a good bye to my father and now what the things were remaining were to be controlled by me, managed by me, My dad again turned emotional, hugged me and ShafiqBhaya, and bid us good-bye.
It was the month of August, and the temperature in Delhi was too high. After 2-3 days in our building, a new student, namely Shayan from Bihar, is pursuing a Bcom Hons from ShyamLal College, University of Delhi. I joined college and continuously talked with my parents, but I was prepared to manage everything. After a few days, one of my roommates, Anas from Greater Noida, joined me. As he returned from home, he brought KeemaKachodi and some Namkeen items with him. We talked for a while, and I introduced myself to him. In those days, one more boy, Prakhar, joined the building. I, Shayan, and Prakhar were the newly joined students, and we became friends in just a few days. We loved to spend time with Anas and ShafiqBhaya, so now it was a group of 5 boys, of which 2 were seniors and we 3 were newly joined juniors. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we had to pay a visit to the nearest building.
How things change no one knows, after few more days my college changed, I got Ramjas College of University of Delhi which is foremost better than ShyamLal College, so now I had to cope up with a new challenge, and moreover my health conditions turned worst, these guys took care of me, they looked up me, they took me to a near by clinic where a doctor treated me and said me your fever level is very high as these are the indications of Typhoid, so do test tomorrow, the same day one of my favourites Farhan Khan( friend of my brother) was about to meet me in that evening, he had to come from Gurgaon, I had shared with him location already so he reached and when he looked at my condition, (before few months he had been to Kashmir where we had enjoyed a lot and had interacted with each other), he immediately made a decision that you will shift with me for some days as you are not feeling well here, and took me to Gurgaon.
