Dibang Valley, Oct 11: A joint civil-military trek to Athupopu, a sacred 3,500-meter-high peak near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), will be flagged off from Anini on October 12.

Organised with SpearCorps soldiers and local civilians, the trek celebrates unity, faith, and adventure, while fostering stronger bonds between the military and local communities.
Athupopu holds deep cultural significance for the Idu Mishmi tribe, revered as the mythical gateway for departed souls on their journey to eternity. The event aims to honour local heritage and promote resilience, camaraderie, and community engagement in the region.
