The Cluster University Srinagar has stated that its ongoing recruitment process for Assistant Professors across various disciplines is being conducted with complete fairness and transparency.
In a statement, the CUS said that subject-specific screening committees are diligently scrutinizing applications in accordance with the university’s advertisement notice.
“This clarification comes in response to claims made by some candidates who applied for the Assistant Professor position in Management Studies but were not shortlisted by the screening committee. The university emphasized that these candidates did not meet the specialization requirements explicitly outlined in the advertisement notice dated October 25, 2025,” the CUS said.
“In addition to basic eligibility criteria, including a Master’s degree, NET/SLET/SET, or a Ph.D. degree, clause 'B' of the advertisement specifies that candidates for Management Studies must possess: A Master’s degree with 55% marks in Management Studies with a specialization in Finance, or a Master’s degree with 55% marks in Management Studies with a specialization in Human Resources,” it said.
“Claims that Cluster University Srinagar has disregarded MBA degrees from Kashmir University are unfounded. According to the advertisement notice, candidates lacking the specified specializations did not qualify for the screening process, irrespective of the institution from which their MBA degrees were obtained,” stated a university spokesperson.
The university clarified that the MBA degree certificates submitted by the disqualified candidates did not indicate the required specializations, leading to their exclusion from the screening stage.
The spokesperson confirmed that some candidates holding MBA degrees with the requisite specializations from Kashmir University have been shortlisted for interviews.
