Jammu, Oct 26: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed deep anguish over the devastating fire at Shiv Market in Jammu, which caused extensive damage to shops and business establishments, resulting in significant losses to traders.

He directed the administration to extend all possible assistance to the affected shopkeepers.
Pertinently, about 40 shops were gutted in the fire incident that broke out at Shiv Market, causing huge losses to the traders.
The market primarily consists of shops selling garments, dry fruits, and handicrafts, alongside local dhabas and eateries.
The affected shopkeepers estimate that goods worth crores of rupees have been reduced to ashes.
