The tournament, which featured three local teams from the Handwara region, culminated with an intense final match held today. The event was inaugurated by Shri S.F.P. Vaiphei, Officiating Commandant (2IC), alongside senior officers Vijay Singh Ghamoria (2IC, Operations/Administration), Jaipal Bishnoi (Deputy Commandant/Adjutant), Raju Barahadiya (Deputy Commandant), Sushil Kumar (Deputy Commandant), and Dr. Sumit (ACMO, 26 Battalion BSF).
The final showdown between Ibrahim Cricket Club, Gonipora, Handwara, and Star Eleven Cricket Club, Melyal, Kupwara, witnessed a thrilling contest. Star Eleven Cricket Club emerged victorious, clinching the tournament title.
During the prize distribution ceremony, S.F.P. Vaiphei and Shri Vijay Singh Ghamoria presented trophies and cricket kits to the participating teams. The initiative was widely appreciated for encouraging youth engagement in sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie.
