Srinagar, Feb 27 : Marking a milestone for the young winter sports team, women athletes of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) delivered an impressive performance at the Khelo India Winter Games 2026, winning two gold and four silver medals.
CRPF women’s winter squad formed just two years ago, has quickly emerged as a strong contender on the national stage, proving its capability in challenging mountain conditions.
Constable Kajal Kumari led the charge with double gold medals in the 10km and 15km Nordic Ski events. Constable Renu Dhanu secured two silver medals in the 15km and 1.6km Nordic Ski races, while Constable Hiralbhen bagged a silver in the 10km Nordic Ski event.
Further, in the Ski Mountaineering (Skimo) Relay, the CRPF team comprising Constable Kajal Kumari, Constable Renu Dhanu, Constable Pragati and Constable Preeti clinched a silver medal.
