Ganderbal, April 9: Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) began celebrations for Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary with essay writing and elocution competitions at its Tulmulla campus.

Students and research scholars participated enthusiastically, addressing themes such as “Ambedkar and His Relevance in Attaining Social Equity in the Age of Global Crisis” (essay) and “Enduring Legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s Fight for Social Justice” (elocution).
The essay competition was evaluated by Dr. Krishna Chaitanya, Dr. Hima Bindu, Dr. Hilal Ahmad, and Mr. Ahmad Raza, while the elocution jury included Dr. Shabir Ahmad, Dr. Debanjan Bose, Dr. Nooka Raju Bendukurthi, and Ms. Kinjal Bagdi.
The university’s OBC, SC, ST, and PWD cells will host a series of events to mark the occasion. Dean DSW Dr. Jehirul Islam and Liaison Officer OBC Cell Dr. John K Babu were present during the inaugural program.
