
Meshal,, Jan 28: Troops of the Dao Division under Spear Corps have constructed an indoor badminton court for the residents of Meshai Village, located in the easternmost part of India in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw District.
The facility was built under Operation Sadbhavana and handed over to the villagers on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day. Officials said the project aims to promote sports and recreational activities among the local youth, fostering community engagement and healthy living.
The villagers expressed gratitude to the Army for the initiative, highlighting that the facility will serve as a hub for sports, social gatherings, and physical fitness in the remote region. The handover ceremony also underscored the Army’s commitment to development and goodwill in border areas.
