Dimapur, Nov 3: In a nationwide outreach initiative, the Dao Warriors of #SpearCorps organized “Battle of Walong” presentations across schools and colleges in Dimapur, Dibrugarh, Namsai, Delhi, Pune, and Mumbai during October–November 2025. The program aimed to educate and inspire the youth about the valour and sacrifices of the #IndianArmy and #AssamRifles during the 1962 War.

The presentations highlighted heroic deeds, battlefield strategies, and stories of resilience from the Battle of Walong, instilling a sense of patriotism and respect for the armed forces among students. Veterans of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles were present at several events, sharing firsthand accounts and adding authenticity to the narrative.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from large numbers of students, who engaged actively with the presentations and interacted with the veterans. Organizers emphasized that such programs not only commemorate the bravery of martyrs but also inspire the younger generation to uphold the spirit of courage, discipline, and national pride.
The event was hailed as a fitting tribute to the heroes of 1962, reinforcing the enduring legacy of their sacrifices in shaping India’s security and sovereignty.
