
Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Departments, Javid Ahmad Dar today visited Nowgam and Natipora to offer condolences to the families of Mohd Shafi and Suhail Ahmad Rather, who tragically lost their lives in the recent explosion at Nowgam Police Station.
During the visit, the Minister met the bereaved families, expressed solidarity with them in this hour of profound grief, and assured all possible support from the Government. He also interacted with local residents to obtain first-hand details of the situation and reviewed the damage caused to nearby houses due to the incident.
Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, today visited the families who lost their loved ones in the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station to offer condolences.
Acting on the directions of the Chief Minister, the Advisor visited Nowgam, Natipora, Soibug and Bemina, where he met the bereaved families and conveyed the Government’s deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives. He assured them that the administration stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the affected families and that every possible support will be extended during this difficult time.
Advisor Wani was accompanied by MLA Channapora, Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, and senior officials.
Later, the Advisor also visited a local hospital to enquire about the condition of those injured in the Nowgam Police Station explosion. He interacted with the injured persons, reviewed the line of treatment, and informed hospital management that directions have been given to Health department to liaise with the hospital management so that best possible care is given to injured.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment, the Advisor said the Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, stands firmly with all those affected by the tragedy. He expressed solidarity with both the bereaved and the injured, assuring them of the Government’s full support in this hour of grief.
