Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, visited “Palash” and “Pareesha” Children Homes at Gupt Ganga Nishat to review their functioning and the facilities provided to enrolled students. He was accompanied by Additional DC Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tahir Sajad, District Social Welfare Officer Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Tehsildar North Syed Shahid, Block Medical Officer Hazratbal, Deputy CEO, and other officials.

The DC inspected classrooms, dormitories, dining areas, and recreational facilities, and interacted with children and staff to assess lodging, education, healthcare, sports, and other services. He emphasized providing a nurturing environment for overall development and assured full support from the District Administration.
Labroo directed the provision of sports kits, establishment of a volleyball court at Pareesha, and a special health screening camp at both centres. He also urged the staff to continue their dedicated efforts to improve facilities and welfare initiatives for the children.
