
Srinagar, July 14: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday inspected the ongoing upgradation works on Dr Ali Jan Road and directed the executing agencies to accelerate the pace of construction to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the progress of the work on the key road stretch linking Eidgah with SKIMS Soura, an important corridor that experiences heavy traffic and frequent congestion.
Reviewing the quality and pace of execution, Labroo emphasized the importance of maintaining construction standards and ensuring close coordination among all departments involved in the project.
He instructed the concerned agencies to address all pending issues affecting the progress of the work and complete the remaining construction at the earliest to reduce inconvenience to the public.
The road upgrade is expected to improve traffic movement, reduce congestion along the busy Eidgah to SKIMS Soura route, and strengthen connectivity for thousands of commuters, including patients and emergency vehicles travelling to the tertiary healthcare facility.
