DC reviews revenue services in Srinagar

June 02, 2026 | BK News Service

Srinagar, June 1: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Monday chaired a review meeting of senior Revenue officers to assess tehsil-wise progress on key revenue matters and delivery of public services across the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars, and other concerned officers.
Reviewing the status of revenue reforms, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of field functionaries in accelerating digitisation of land records and achieving assigned targets. He urged officers to maintain the momentum and ensure timely completion of all pending tasks.
Officials informed the meeting that Srinagar district comprises 137 villages, each having separate Jamabandi records, all of which are being uploaded on the designated revenue portal. To ensure transparency and accuracy, digitised records are being read out in villages, while grievance registers are being maintained for public feedback and verification.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the implementation of the online revenue portal and directed officers to ensure prompt disposal of grievances and clear all pending cases. He also stressed the need for uploading complete Jamabandi records in PDF format.
The meeting also reviewed progress under the PM SVAMITVA Scheme and the sub-parcelisation of mother maps. The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned officers to achieve all targets within stipulated timelines.
Emphasising citizen-centric governance, Akshay Labroo called upon officers to work with dedication and professionalism to strengthen public trust in the Revenue Department and ensure efficient, transparent, and time-bound service delivery under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA).
