
Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today visited Hamidi Kashmiri Memorial Government Degree College at Eidgah to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure upgradation works being executed under various developmental initiatives.
During the visit, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Principal GDC Eidgah, Prof Deeba Sarmad, Executive Engineer Water Works Divisions, Aijaz Ahmad Executive Engineer R&B Core, Arif Rehman Hazari, Tehsildar Eidgah, Mohammad Iqbal Zargar and other Officers and Engineers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
On the occasion, the DC inspected the works executed under phase first on the Rs 13 crore project for the construction of Academic-cum-Administrative Block of the College.
He assessed the quality and pace of execution and emphasized the importance of making the new facilities functional at the earliest for the benefit of students and staff.
The DC also reviewed the preparations for the second phase of infrastructure development, which includes the construction of a boundary wall, landscaping, development of the approach road and other allied works. He directed the executing agency to initiate these works immediately, ensuring timely completion in line with the approved plan.
Further, the DC instructed the concerned officers to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for water and power supply connections to the newly created blocks of the College. He stressed that essential utilities must be completed promptly so that all new facilities can be made operational at the earliest.
