Death-Cum-Retirement Gratuity Ceiling Raised to ₹25 Lakh

Jammu, Feb 18: The J&K Government has raised the maximum Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) for employees under the 7th Pay Commission from ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh, effective January 1, 2024. The revision follows the Dearness Allowance reaching 50% of basic pay.

The finance department clarified that this enhancement, applicable to regular pay levels, aligns with Article 240-BB of the J&K Civil Service Regulations and ensures employees benefit proportionately from DA revisions.
