Debate on Sardar Patel’s legacy held at Kothibagh school

In connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Srinagar District Police organized a debate competition on the theme “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel – The Unsung Architect of Modern India” at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh.
Held under the Civic Action Programme, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students who spoke passionately about Sardar Patel’s role in uniting the nation and laying the foundation for modern India.
The event was attended by senior police officials including Shri Mohammad Yasser Parrey (JKPS), SDPO Kothibagh; Inspector Adil Rashid, SHO Kothibagh; and Inspector Gowhar Ahmad, SHO Maisuma. School faculty, students, and invited guests also participated.
Speakers emphasized Sardar Patel’s contributions to national integration, administrative reforms, and the importance of instilling unity, discipline, and civic responsibility in the education system.
The top three debaters were awarded cash prizes and mementos, while all participants were served refreshments. The event aimed to foster patriotic values and critical thinking among youth.
