Delegations meet LG Sinha

Srinagar, May 23: A delegation of the Deaf Cricket Association J&K led by Shri Umar Ashraf Beigh called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Srinagar on Saturday.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Lieutenant Governor of various issues and initiatives related to sports promotion for specially-abled athletes in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a separate interaction, the LG was presented with a book titled “Parmeshwari: Agitation of Kashmir”, authored by Dr. Ashish Kaul. The book was presented by the author’s parents, Shri Rattan Kaul and Smt Pushpa Kaul.
Later, a delegation of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation, including representatives from Shopian, Anantnag and South Kashmir zones, also met the Lieutenant Governor and discussed youth-related concerns and developmental issues.
Officials said the Lieutenant Governor assured the delegations that their concerns would be examined and appropriate steps would be taken in the interest of public welfare and youth development in Jammu and Kashmir.
