Jammu, Aug 22: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Saturday reacted to reports that his brother has been booked by the Enforcement Directorate under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, saying investigating agencies should carry out their work and expressing confidence in the judiciary.
“If this is so important, earlier files on mining, PWD, company penalties... Agencies should do their work. We have confidence in the judiciary,” Choudhary told reporters in Jammu.
His remarks came in response to questions about the reported booking of his brother by the Enforcement Directorate under the PMLA.
Asked about reports of a possible reshuffle in the Jammu and Kashmir Council of Ministers, Choudhary said the decision rests with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah.
“It is the prerogative of Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah, and they must decide on what needs to be done,” he said.
