Namsai, Jan 23: The Namsai–Pangsau Power Drive 2026 was successfully held on 22 January 2026, stretching from Hellgate to Pangsau Pass. The high-octane event featured high-performance cars and superbikes, including a thrilling hill climb reaching the Indo-Myanmar border, providing both excitement and spectacular views of the region.

Organized as part of the Pangsau Pass International Festival (PPIF) 2026, the rally was formally flagged off by Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles. In his address, the DG highlighted the event’s role in promoting border tourism, engaging youth, enhancing regional connectivity, and strengthening civil-military cooperation.
The Power Drive attracted enthusiastic participation from locals and adventure enthusiasts, creating a vibrant atmosphere and showcasing the strategic and scenic significance of Pangsau Pass.
