Kohima, Nov 22: Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, visited the Company Operating Base (COB) at Kohima, Nagaland, on 22 November 2025. During the visit, he received a detailed briefing on the operational preparedness, ssecurity posture, and ongoing commitments of the COB.

The DG reviewed troop readiness, assessed the effectiveness of current deployments, and expressed satisfaction over the high standards of professionalism, discipline, and efficiency displayed by all ranks. He commended the personnel for their dedication in fulfilling assigned duties and emphasized the importance of maintaining operational excellence in challenging environments.
