
SRINAGAR, Jan 31: Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), GP Singh, on Saturday stressed the need for sustained vigilance to ensure robust security, maintain normalcy and achieve the complete elimination of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
The DG was chairing a high-level security review meeting with senior CRPF officials and ground commanders from across the Valley. The meeting was held at the CRPF Group Centre (GC), Srinagar, during Singh’s two-day visit to the Union Territory.
During the review, the DG assessed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of the force. He reiterated CRPF’s firm commitment to maintaining an incident-free environment and strengthening counter-terrorism measures to safeguard peace in the region.
Officials said GP Singh arrived in Srinagar on Friday as part of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of ground-level challenges and ongoing operations.
As part of his tour, the DG also visited the 44 Battalion CRPF, where he interacted with personnel during a Sainik Sammelan and addressed their grievances.
While addressing the jawans, GP Singh commended them for their dedication, professionalism and unwavering service to the nation. He expressed confidence in the force’s capabilities and said the CRPF would continue to discharge its duties with zeal, courage and commitment in the service of national security.
