
The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, visited the J&K Police Security Wing Headquarters in Sidhra, Jammu, on Saturday, inaugurating the newly renovated Conference cum Training Hall, an enhancement aimed at bolstering the operational capabilities of the Security Wing.
Following the inauguration, the DGP held a comprehensive review meeting, during which Inspector General of Police (IGP) Security, Sujit Kumar Singh, presented a detailed briefing on the Wing’s current operations, training programs, and ongoing initiatives.
Prabhat lauded the Security Wing for conducting refresher training courses that focus on improving personnel skills and overall preparedness. He also directed the Security Transport Workshop to prioritise timely servicing and repair of escort vehicles, highlighting the critical role of a well-maintained security infrastructure in operational efficiency.
The review meeting was attended by senior officers, including ADGP Headquarters M.K. Sinha, ADGP Armed Anand Jain, IGP Jammu B.S. Tuti, IGP Railways Vivek Guta, and IGP Traffic Sulaiman Salaria, among others.
The DGP emphasized that such initiatives and facility upgrades are integral to ensuring robust security measures, enhancing coordination, and strengthening the readiness of personnel, ultimately contributing to the safety and security of the people of Jammu and Kashm
