Dir animal husbandry reviews HADP scheme in Anantnag

In a significant move to enhance the livestock sector in the region, Dr. Parvinder Singh Sudan, Director of the Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) Kashmir, conducted a comprehensive review of the Holistic Animal Development Program (HADP) scheme in Anantnag. The meeting aimed to assess the progress and implementation of various initiatives under the HADP, which is designed to improve animal health, productivity, and overall livelihoods for farmers.
During the review session, Dr. Sudan lauded the exemplary work done by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Anantnag, Dr. Javed Zarger. His leadership and commitment have been pivotal in driving forward the objectives of the HADP scheme in the district. The efforts made by Dr. Zarger and his team have not only improved animal husbandry practices but also contributed significantly to enhancing farmers’ incomes through better livestock management.
The importance of this initiative was further underscored during a recent visit by the Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Mr. Surider Choudhary who appreciated both Dr. Sudan’s role as Director and Dr. Zarger’s contributions during his interaction with district officers. This recognition highlights the collaborative efforts being made at various levels to ensure that animal husbandry practices are modernized and effectively implemented across Jammu & Kashmir.
The review meeting included discussions on challenges faced in implementing the HADP scheme and strategies for overcoming these obstacles. Participants shared insights on best practices and innovative approaches that could be adopted to further enhance productivity within the sector.
Dr. Sudan emphasized that continuous monitoring and evaluation are crucial for achieving desired outcomes from such schemes. He encouraged all stakeholders involved to remain committed to their roles in fostering sustainable development within animal husbandry.
As part of ongoing efforts to support local farmers, future workshops and training sessions will be organized to educate them about advanced animal husbandry techniques and health management practices.
