Disha Pandith participated in the international seminar on martial arts, themed 'Martial Art and Peace,' held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, under the aegis of the Department of Cultural and Sports. As a representative of India, she delivered a presentation on SQAY, the ancient martial art of Kashmir, providing insights into its rich history and cultural significance. Noting the global adoption of SQAY by 62 countries, Disha Pandith expressed her aspiration for its inclusion in major international sports events. The initiative by the Vietnam Government to promote 'Martial Art and Peace' was appreciated. Such cultural exchanges are vital for global peace and harmony. In the martial arts contest held alongside, Disha Pandith's extraordinary performance was notable, and the three-member Indian team showcased exceptional skills. Selected from the valley, Disha Pandith was the sole representative from her region in this prestigious event.
