Dist Bla Carrom Ch’ship concludes successfully

Baramulla, Mar 25: The District Baramulla Carrom Championship 2025–26 concluded on a high note with a grand closing ceremony at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Khawaja Bagh. Organized by the District Baramulla Carrom Association under the auspices of the J&K Carrom Association and in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 140 players representing schools and colleges across the district.

Mr. Adil Rashid Shah, President of the J&K Carrom Association, welcomed the esteemed guests and appreciated the talent and sportsmanship displayed by all participants. He emphasized the role of sports in fostering discipline, character, and unity among youth. Mr. Shah congratulated the winners and highlighted that top performers will represent District Baramulla at the upcoming 5th J&K UT Level Carrom Championship 2025–26 at SKICC Srinagar from 29th to 31st March.
Special recognition was given to the District Baramulla Carrom Association, accompanying teachers, and officials, including Mr. Showkat Ahmad, Incharge Sports Stadium Khawaja Bagh, and Ms. Zubaida Ahad, Organizing Secretary, for their dedication in making the event a success.
Among the dignitaries present were Mr. Peer Irshad Ahmad (Cricket Coach, J&K Sports Council Baramulla), Mr. Dawar Rashid (Assistant Secretary, J&K Carrom Association), and other members of the Sports Council.
