District-level U-19 boys sports tournament kicks off in Bla

 The inter-school district level Under-19 Boys Sports Tournament was inaugurated today with great fervor and celebration at the Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.

Organized by the Youth Services and Sports department, the event witnessed a grand opening ceremony presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa.
The tournament brings together 19 teams from various Government and Private Higher Secondary Schools across the district, offering a spirited platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and passion for sports. The event will continue till tomorrow, featuring competitive matches that promise high energy and sportsmanship.
The inaugural ceremony began with a solemn Oath taking ceremony, where participants pledged to uphold the values of discipline, fair play, and unity, laying the foundation for a tournament grounded in integrity.
In his keynote address, DC praised the efforts of the Youth Services and Sports department in promoting sports at the grassroots level. He emphasized the vital role of sports in shaping the personality and future of youth, urging participants to compete with commitment, respect, and resilience.
