Srinagar, Jan 26: The 77th Republic Day was marked with dignity and patriotic spirit at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office in Srinagar on Monday. Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, unfurled the National Flag and took the salute from a contingent of the Central Reserve Police Force, reflecting the region’s respect for the Constitution and democratic values

The celebration was held in a solemn atmosphere where officers and staff gathered to honour the occasion. The Divisional Commissioner remembered the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and countless citizens whose efforts helped build a strong and democratic India. He said Republic Day is a reminder of the values of unity, justice and equality that guide the nation
Speaking on the occasion, Anshul Garg stressed the importance of honesty and dedication in public service. He called upon officers and officials to work with sincerity, integrity and commitment while serving the people. He said government employees carry a responsibility to uphold the ideals of the Constitution in their daily work and to remain people-friendly in their approach
The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Assistant Commissioner Central, DDP, CPO Srinagar, OSD to the Divisional Commissioner, along with other senior officers and staff of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office
Extending greetings to the people on Republic Day, the Divisional Commissioner said the national festival is being celebrated across Kashmir with true patriotic spirit. He expressed hope that the values of democracy and service would continue to guide the region towards peace, progress and inclusive development
