The Inter-District UT Level All Age Group (AAG) Boys and Girls Wrestling Tournament commenced today here at the Indoor Sports Stadium.

The tournament is being organized under the direction of Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J&K Anuradha Gupta and under the guidance of Joint Director YSS Jammu Vinakshi Koul with the cooperation of the District Administration Doda and full support of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The event is being held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jaffar Haider Sheikh.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of officers from the Youth Services and Sports Department, coaches and enthusiastic young wrestlers representing different districts of the Union Territory.
In his inaugural address, the DYSSO extended a warm welcome to all contingents, officials and guests. He emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication and sportsmanship, encouraging the participants by saying, “You are the youngest and most energetic players — if you remain disciplined and dedicated, you can achieve great success not only in sports but also in academics and life.”
The inaugural day featured a vibrant march past, oath ceremony and the official declaration of the tournament open, marking the beginning of a spirited sporting competition filled with zeal, sportsmanship and youthful energy.
