Doda, Dec 21:The 6th District Doda Taekwondo Championships 2025–26 were formally inaugurated today at the Indoor Sports Hall, Doda, amidst great enthusiasm and sporting spirit.

The two-day championship is being organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Doda (TADD) under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) and the J&K Sports Council (JKSC), and will conclude on 21st December 2025.
Junaid Ali Khan, President, Taekwondo Association of District Doda, graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Mr Muzamil Rashid and Mr Nadeem Niaz, while Mr Haroon Zaffer attended the event as Guest of Honour.
Rajesh Kotwal (Observer, JKSC) was also present to oversee the championship proceedings.
The championship is being conducted under the leadership of Mr Burhan Ud Din Khan (Executive Member, JKTA & Secretary, TADD), along with an experienced panel of referees and officials including Mr Amit Kumar (NR), Mr Rakesh Singh (NR), Mr Tahir Mushtaq (SR), Ms Radha Sharma (SR), Mr Shivansh Rajput (SR) and Mr Aniket (SR).
While addressing the gathering, Mr Junaid Ali Khan appreciated the efforts of the organizers, coaches and officials, and extended special thanks to Ms Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, for her continued support and encouragement towards the development of Taekwondo players in Jammu & Kashmir.
The opening day witnessed exciting bouts and impressive performances by young athletes. The results declared on Day One are as follows:
