
Ganderbal, May 14: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Ganderbal organised a series of activities including kabaddi, volleyball, football, and awareness programmes for boys and girls across all zones of the district under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
A total of 350 boys and girls from Kangan, Ganderbal, Hariganwan, and Tulmullah zones participated enthusiastically, displaying remarkable sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline throughout the activities. Awareness sessions were also conducted to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ganderbal, Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal, appreciated the active participation of students and lauded the efforts of field staff in successfully conducting the programmes. He emphasized that sports and awareness initiatives play a vital role in promoting fitness, discipline, and a drug-free society among youth.
The activities concluded successfully with a strong message encouraging students to stay active, focused, and away from substance abuse.
