Eastern Army Commander addresses Assam Rifles in Shillong

Shillong, June 14: Lt Gen VM Bhuvana Krishnan, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, addressed all ranks of Assam Rifles during a Sainik Sammelan held at Headquarters Director General Assam Rifles (HQ DGAR), Laitkor, Shillong.

During the interaction, the Army Commander commended the personnel for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service in safeguarding national interests across the North East. He lauded the force’s operational achievements and its continued contribution towards maintaining peace, security, and stability in the region.
Lt Gen Krishnan highlighted the importance of maintaining the highest standards of discipline, operational readiness, and leadership at all levels. He urged all ranks to continue upholding the proud traditions and ethos of Assam Rifles while staying fully prepared to meet evolving security challenges.
The Sainik Sammelan provided an opportunity for direct interaction between senior leadership and troops, reinforcing motivation, cohesion, and operational focus within the force.
