Eastern Command holds joint operations conference

Kolkata, Jan 26: The Indian Army’s Eastern Command recently hosted a Joint Conference at Vijay Durg, Kolkata, bringing together officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and various Subject Matter Experts to discuss the future of integrated military operations.

The conference focused on enhancing operational effectiveness through improved coordination, technological integration, and joint strategies. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on future-ready operational planning, lessons from past exercises, and adoption of modern tools and technologies to strengthen the country’s defence preparedness.
Lt Gen RC Tiwari, Army Commander Eastern Command, lauded the efforts of participating units for their commitment to operational excellence. During the event, he felicitated units that demonstrated outstanding performance, recognizing their dedication, professionalism, and high standards of service.
The conference emphasized the importance of inter-service synergy, knowledge-sharing, and continuous training to ensure that the Eastern Command remains agile, resilient, and fully prepared for emerging security challenges in the region.
