
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized an Entrepreneurship Development Program for Women today. The program aimed to empower and guide aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing insights into various opportunities available in the entrepreneurial landscape.
Ms. Khairull Nissa, Executive Director at World Trade Center Services, New Delhi, was the keynote speaker for the session. Addressing the participants, she sensitized them about the vast avenues in the field of entrepreneurship and encouraged them to take advantage of the resources and support systems available for women entrepreneurs. She emphasized the importance of innovation, networking, and resilience in building successful enterprises.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Parvez A Mir , Director CIED highlighted the university's commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs through various training programs, mentorship initiatives, and incubation support. He reiterated that IUST is dedicated to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship that is inclusive and sustainable. Dr. Ruheela Hassan, Coordinator, Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IUST, stressed the need for creating learning skills to be adaptable in an ever-evolving business environment.
The event concluded with an interactive session where participants had the opportunity to seek guidance from the speaker and explore pathways to transform their business ideas into successful ventures.
