Flights cancelled due to NOTAM

January 22, 2026 | BK News Service

Srinagar, Jan 21: At least three flights operating to and from Srinagar Airport were cancelled on Wednesday following the issuance of a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) at Delhi Airport in connection with Republic Day arrangements, officials said.

According to Srinagar Airport authorities, the cancellations were effected by the respective airlines due to airspace and operational restrictions at Delhi Airport. The NOTAM, already in force, resulted in disruptions to scheduled flight operations between Srinagar and the national capital.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight status with their airlines before heading to the airport. Airport authorities expressed regret over the inconvenience caused, stating that the disruptions were due to circumstances beyond their control.
An official list indicated that several Srinagar–Delhi flights scheduled during morning and afternoon hours were affected. Passengers arriving at the airport were seen seeking clarification from airline counters amid uncertainty over revised schedules.
Officials noted that Republic Day-related security and air traffic management measures at Delhi Airport routinely lead to temporary adjustments, including cancellations and rescheduling of flights across multiple sectors. Srinagar Airport authorities said further updates would be issued if there were any changes in flight operations during the day.
