Former bureaucrat, renowned author Badurdin Maqeem passes away

In a profound loss to the literary and educational community of Charar-e-Sharief, noted author, former bureaucrat, and revered teacher Badurdin Maqeem passed away on Tuesday morning . He was a guiding light to generations of students and a respected figure in the township for his literary contributions and philanthropic work.
Badurdin Maqeem, a native of Charar-e-Sharief, was known for his deep wisdom, literary insight, and unwavering commitment to the cause of education. Over the decades, he authored several acclaimed books, spanning topics of literature, social issues, and regional history. His scholarly work earned him admiration from academic and literary circles alike "He was the first to translate the Shruks of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) into English, which significantly enhanced his prominence in literary circles."
Before his retirement, Maqeem served in the bureaucratic services with integrity and distinction, but it was as a teacher that he left an indelible mark on countless lives. Known for his gentle demeanor and commitment to nurturing talent, he guided numerous students—many of whom went on to excel in various fields. “He was not just a teacher but a mentor and moral compass,” said one of his former students. “I owe my entire career to his mentorship.”
