Four Booked for Allegedly Impersonating Cyber Crime Officials, Duping Srinagar Resident

Srinagar, Nov 5: Police have booked four individuals for allegedly posing as Cyber Crime Department officials and cheating a resident of Batmaloo of Rs 50,000.

 

The case was registered at Police Station Batmaloo following a complaint in which the victim alleged that the accused falsely identified themselves as government officials and misused the identity to obtain money from him.

 

Police have registered FIR No. 139/2026 under Sections 318(3) and 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and initiated further investigation.
