Chandel, Manipur, Oct 3: : In a proactive step toward community health, Assam Rifles organised a heart health awareness drive across New Samtal, Aibol Joupi, Sehlon, and Old Samtal villages in Chandel District on October 2, 2025. The initiative aimed at educating locals about cardiovascular health, prevention measures, and emergency response techniques.

The awareness campaign included interactive sessions on maintaining heart health, free medical check-ups, and demonstrations of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques. A total of 134 villagers benefited from the event, gaining both knowledge and practical skills to safeguard themselves and their loved ones from cardiac emergencies.
Officials highlighted that the drive was part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to community welfare, emphasizing preventive healthcare and building resilience in remote regions. Villagers expressed their appreciation, acknowledging the force’s efforts in not only ensuring security but also contributing to public health and well-being.
