The Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Bhatyas & Thathri in collaboration with Social Welfare Department organised an inspiring Zonal Level Girls Kabaddi & Volleyball tournament as part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
Over 180 Girls from different Schools of Zone Bhatyas and Thathri showcased their athletic skills during the contests coordinated by as many as 40 YSS officials. The events aimed to empower young girls and promote gender quality through Sports.
In zone Bhatyas, the inaugural Ceremony was held at Malikpura. SDM Arun Kumar Badyal presided over the inaugural event in presence of ZPEO Salahuddin and other officials.
Meanwhile, in zone Thathri the tournament was held at GHS Boys. The school Principal Ghulam Farooq was the chief guest while ZPEO Madhan Lal coordinated the event.
The winners of the competitions were awarded with trophies and medals, while refreshment packs were distributed among all the participants
