GOC HQ 101 Area reviews AR Ops in Tripura

Agartala, Jan 14: Lieutenant General Mohit Wadhwa, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Headquarters 101 Area, visited Headquarters 21 Sector of Assam Rifles in Agartala to assess operational preparedness and review the security scenario in Tripura.

During the visit, Lt Gen Wadhwa received detailed briefings on the current operational readiness of Assam Rifles units under the sector, the dynamics along the Indo–Bangladesh border, and ongoing measures to maintain internal security and border management. The briefing also highlighted counter-insurgency efforts, community engagement programs, and coordination with local civil and law enforcement authorities.
The GOC emphasized the importance of vigilance along the international border and the need for proactive measures to ensure peace and security in the region. He also interacted with officers and personnel, acknowledging their dedication and reinforcing the significance of morale, discipline, and operational efficiency.
Officials noted that such high-level visits strengthen command oversight, facilitate timely decision-making, and enhance the overall capability of Assam Rifles in safeguarding border integrity and supporting local communities.
