Agartala, Jan 11: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Red Shield Division, under SpearCorps, visited Agartala Military Station in Tripura to pay homage at the Albert Ekka War Memorial. The visit was held in honour of the valour and sacrifice of soldiers who fought bravely during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

During the solemn ceremony, the GOC laid wreaths and observed a moment of silence, reflecting on the courage and dedication of the martyrs whose sacrifices contributed to the nation’s security and freedom. The event also served to inspire serving personnel and reinforce the importance of remembering the legacy of India’s war heroes.
The tribute highlighted the continued commitment of SpearCorps to uphold the values of courage, duty, and patriotism, ensuring that the heroism of 1971 war veterans remains alive in the collective memory of the armed forces and the nation.
