Ahead of the assembly elections, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Army's Srinagar-based 15 Corps Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai on Monday visited the border areas of north Kashmir to review the security situation and operational preparedness of the troops.
“Lt General Ghai visited Vajr Division, Kupwara and Tangdhar sector to assess the security situation and review operation preparedness of troops,” Army posted on X, formerly twitter.
During the interaction with troops, GoC highlighted the importance of situational awareness and strict vigilance to effectively counter emerging challenges.

Army has stepped up vigil along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir to prevent infiltration attempts by militants from across the border.
