GoC Spear Corps reviews operational readiness

Imphal , May 13: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps conducted a visit to forward areas to assess the operational readiness of deployed formations and review the overall security situation on the ground.

During the visit, the Corps Commander was briefed by field commanders on the prevailing operational environment, deployment patterns, and ongoing measures to maintain high levels of vigilance along sensitive stretches. The review focused on ensuring preparedness of troops to respond effectively to any emerging security challenges in the region.
The GOC also interacted with personnel deployed in forward locations and took stock of their working conditions, operational requirements, and welfare needs. He appreciated the professionalism, discipline, and high morale displayed by the troops while serving in demanding terrain and under challenging conditions.
Commending their unwavering commitment, the Corps Commander lauded the soldiers for their dedication towards safeguarding the nation’s frontiers and maintaining stability in the operational area. He emphasized the importance of sustained alertness, strong coordination, and continuous training to meet evolving security dynamics.
He further encouraged all ranks to maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency and remain prepared for any contingency, reiterating the Army’s focus on mission readiness and soldier welfare.
