
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a Joint Board of Officers to identify the balance Equal Value Land (EVL) to be transferred to the Army in lieu of 139.04 acres at Tattoo Ground.
The chairman of the 8-member Joint Board of Officers would be Colonel HQ 31 Siberia. Its members would be Station Commander, Haft Chinar; Assistant Commissioner (Central) with Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Srinagar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Anantnag; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Baramulla; Defence Estates Officer, Kashmir, Circle Srinagar and Assistant Defence Estates Officer, Baramulla
The Joint Board of Officers have been tasked to ascertain the quantum of land handed over by the Army to the Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Union territory of J&K.
It will also ascertain the quantum of land handed over by the Union territory of J&K to the Army.
The board will also assess the value of land so transferred, determine balance Equal Value Land required to be transferred in favor of Army in lieu of 139.04 acres land at Tattoo Ground and identify suitable parcels of land for EVL feasible to both the Union territory of J&K and Army.
