The committee has been mandated to examine various issues including humanitarian/legal and financial related to the regularization of Casual Seasonal Labourers or Other Workers etc in Jammu and Kashmir.
The committee has also been asked to suggest a comprehensive way forward on the issue.
The Committee shall be serviced by the General Administration Department and shall submit its report within a period of six months, the order added.
The order comes a week after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced that a committee will be formed to address the issue of regularisation of daily wagers and that a roadmap will be prepared for its presentation in the next budget session.
The Chief Minister had made the announcement while replying to the motion of thanks on the budget address in the Assembly.
"We want to reassure the daily-rated workers, ad hoc, and casual workers that we have not forgotten them. I am announcing the committee in front of the Assembly, headed by the Chief Secretary, and will be issuing the official order today after my budget speech," Omar had said in the House.
