Srinagar, March 19: All educational institutions and government offices across Jammu and Kashmir will remain open on Friday as the holiday on account of Jumat-ul-Vida was preponed to March 14, government has said.
Officials said the decision was taken earlier in view of the revised observance of the occasion, ensuring that administrative functioning and academic activities continue without disruption on the scheduled working day.
The clarification comes amid confusion among sections of the public regarding a possible holiday on March 20. Authorities reiterated that since the holiday was already observed last week, Friday will be treated as a normal working day for all government offices, schools, and colleges.
Employees, students, and the general public have been advised to follow the regular schedule and ensure attendance accordingly.
