
Srinagar, Aug 19: In a move to resolve career stagnation, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has constituted a high-level committee to examine the career progression and promotion avenues of employees appointed under the Prime Minister’s Package for Kashmiri Migrants and the J&K Relief Organization (DMRRR).
Headed by the Administrative Secretary of the General Administration Department, the panel will review current service rules and cadre structures, evaluate the administrative and financial implications of potential reforms, and recommend necessary rule amendments to ensure smoother promotions, with a mandate to submit its final report to the government within one month.
The panel has been tasked to review the existing service conditions, cadre structures, recruitment rules and promotional avenues applicable to employees appointed under the Prime Minister's Package for Kashmiri Migrants and employees of J&K Relief Organization (DMRRR).
It has been asked to identify and suggest measures to address the issues leading to stagnation or other impediments affecting the career progression of these employees.
The committee has been asked to evaluate the financial, administrative and legal implications of the proposed measures and suggest amendments in the relevant rules, wherever required, for effective implementation of the recommendations.
