Guide urges upgrade at Drung waterfall

Tangmarg, July 28: A tourist guide at the famous Drung Waterfall in Tangmarg has appealed to the authorities to improve road conditions and provide proper mobile network connectivity in the area saying that the lack of basic facilities is creating difficulties for tourists visitors and local tourism stakeholders.

The guide said that Drung Waterfall has emerged as an important tourist attraction, with a large number of visitors coming to the area to enjoy its natural beauty. However, the poor condition of the road leading to the destination needs urgent attention to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for tourists.
The tourist guide also highlighted the lack of mobile network connectivity at the waterfall, saying that communication has become an essential part of tourism in today’s digital age This is the digital era, and mobile connectivity is very important. There is no proper mobile network at the waterfall. How can we communicate with tourists and provide digital services when there is no network the guide said.
He appealed to the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to improve both road connectivity and mobile network services at Drung Waterfall. The guide said that better infrastructure and connectivity would not only benefit tourists but also help boost tourism-related activities and provide greater opportunities for local people.
Responding to the concerns, Tangmarg MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah told Brighter Kashmir that the road issue would be resolved soon. He also said that he would speak with the Jio network authorities regarding the lack of mobile connectivity at Drung Waterfall.
The guide expressed hope that the authorities would take necessary measures to improve infrastructure and connectivity and develop Drung Waterfall as a more tourist-friendly destination.
