Rajouri, October 20: A hand grenade discovered near the Hanuman Temple in the Chityar area of Rajouri district was safely destroyed by the Bomb Disposal Squad on Tuesday.

According to officials, some children playing near a house spotted a suspicious object lying in the area and alerted the local police.

A police team promptly reached the spot and cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure.

The Bomb Disposal Squad subsequently destroyed the grenade safely, officials said.
