Handwara, Oct 1: In a vibrant initiative aimed at promoting sports, discipline and positive engagement among youth, SSP Handwara Shri Tahir Saleem Khan-JKPS inaugurated the CAP 2026–27 Knockout Football Tournament at Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara.

The tournament, organized by District Police Handwara, is witnessing participation of 16 teams, providing young footballers an opportunity to showcase their talent, competitive spirit and sportsmanship. On the occasion, SSP Handwara interacted with the participating players and encouraged them to pursue sports with dedication, discipline and team spirit. He emphasized the important role of sports in channelizing the energy of youth towards healthy and constructive activities.
The tournament reflects the commitment of Police towards youth engagement, promotion of sports and strengthening police-public connect through meaningful community-oriented initiatives. J&K Police wishes all participating teams the very best for the tournament.
