The 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man and architect of a united India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel will be celebrated on 31st October at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar Gujarat, reflecting the spirit of ‘’Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.,’’ Inspired by Prime minister Narendra Modi Patel’s birth anniversary is celebrated across the country as National Unity Day. Modelled on the Republic Day Parade held every year on January 26in New Delhi ,a moving parade will be organised this year on October 31 at Ekta Nagar National unity is the heart and soul of India and it should be maintained at all costs and sacrifices. Our freedom fighters and national heroes have sacrificed a lot and more so our national hero and unifier of India Sardar Patel had toiled a lot for unifying the vast country called Bharat and it in fact goes to the credit of this great icon of our nation that we are today a nation unified amidst diversities. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31st of October ,1875, He was born in Nadiad, Gujarat and was popularly known as Sardar Patel. In 2025 grateful nation is celebrating 150 anniversaries of Sardar Patel across the country with great enthusiasm.
In, this regard various functions and programmes are being held throughout the country at the government level and privately also. On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, let us resolve to work for maintaining national unity integrity and sovereignty even if it involves giving sacrifices and the citizens should be ready to undergo sacrifices for upholding unity and integrity of the country. National unity day is annually celebrated on the 31st October which is the birth day of the iron man of India-Sardar Patel. The significance /importance of national Unity Day can neither be overlooked nor exaggerated and great importance should be attached to this day of our national importance. It is the day our great national hero and unifier as well as the architect of national unity -Sardar Patels birth day is celebrated across the country.
This important day reminds the citizens about the invaluable sacrifices undergone by our freedom fighter and national heroes for attaining the independence and also for upholding and maintaining the much valued freedom for the country and on this important occasion let us rededicate ourselves for upholding the integrity and unity of the country while preserving countries diversity for which India is famous in the world .National Integration day ,a significant occasion to promote unity, harmony and inclusiveness was commemorated on 30th October 2024 in National Commission for Minorities NCM ,in honour of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel .Actually the national integration day is annually celebrated on 31st of October to remember national hero and architect of the country’s unity Sardar Patel. This day reminds the citizens of the value and need to work for maintain national unity and integrity. On this day while remembering the exemplary contribution of Sardar Patel towards unity of the nation. it is also emphasis is also laid on the importance of embracing cultural, linguistic and regional differences, fostering a sense of belongingness amongst all citizens.
This day also reminds the citizens about the strength of diversity in which lies the beauty of this great country. On this day school children are reminded that it is the day on which government of India fulfilled the dream of iron man of India by implementing a constitution in Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. On 31st October we take pledge to uphold, safeguard and maintain the unity, integrity and diversity as well as inclusiveness of this land called Bharat. unity of the country was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Patel to whose credit goes the integration and unity as well as merger of more than 530 princely states including Muslim majority Hyderabad .

This peculiar and unique diversity has made national unity and integrity more important and necessary as all people should be allowed to grow in this country as it belongs to all .The day aims to spread awareness about Sardar Patel’s contribution to Indian history and provides an opportunity to reconnect the inherent strength and resilience of our country ,face real and potential threats to unity and integrity ,and the security of our country will do it .
